Our purpose
We publish educational content that helps adults understand themselves, communicate more clearly and build relationships with more care. We aim to be useful rather than sensational, and specific rather than absolutist.
Research and sourcing
Articles draw on established research and clinical guidance in relationship science, sexology, psychology, communication and public health. Where evidence is mixed or evolving, we say so. We avoid presenting a single study as a settled truth.
Human writing
Every article is written and edited by a person. We may use tools to check grammar or organise drafts, but the argument, judgement and final wording are human. We do not publish automatically generated articles.
Review
Health-related pieces are reviewed for accuracy and tone before publication. Complex medical topics include a note encouraging readers to speak with a qualified professional. Our content is educational and never a substitute for individual care.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and transparently. If a correction changes the meaning of a piece, we note it at the foot of the article. To report an error, please use our contact form and include the article title.
Independence and advertising
We do not sell advertising on the journal or accept payment for editorial coverage. If we ever recommend a book, service or resource, we will say whether there is a commercial relationship. We do not accept sponsored posts disguised as advice.
Inclusion and respect
We write for people of different genders, bodies, orientations and relationship structures. We do not assume a single “normal”. We avoid language that shames consensual adult behaviour and we do not publish explicit imagery.
Privacy of readers
We do not use reader stories or comments in articles without permission. Comments are moderated with care, and personal information is removed where necessary.
