About the journal

A quieter place to think about intimacy.

Intimacy Mentor is an independent publication for adults who want honest, grounded writing about closeness — without shame, hype or a script.

Why this exists

Most of us are never taught how to talk about desire, boundaries or repair. We are left to piece it together from films, jokes, half-remembered advice and the internet at its least reliable. The result is often silence — or a lot of guessing.

Intimacy Mentor is an attempt to make that conversation a little easier. We publish essays and practical guides about the interior life of relationships: how to ask for what you want, how to hear a no, how to rebuild after trust breaks, how to stay curious about a person you have known for years.

We write for adults. We write with care. And we try, always, to leave room for the fact that relationships are not problems to be solved but practices to be lived.

What you will find here

Every piece is filed under a topic: intimacy guides, relationships, communication, sexual wellness, dating and connection, or self and boundaries. Some articles are practical how-tos. Others are slower essays meant to be read with a cup of tea and a little honesty.

We do not publish explicit imagery or erotic content. This is a journal about understanding, not performance.

Our approach

We draw on established research in relationship science, sexology, psychology and communication, and we name uncertainty when it exists. We avoid pretending that one relationship shape fits everyone. We believe consent, honesty and mutual care are non-negotiable foundations, not optional extras.

A note on advice

Everything here is educational. It is not therapy, medical advice or a substitute for professional care. If you are navigating abuse, coercion or a health concern, please reach out to a qualified professional or a trusted support service in your area.
